Throughout my years of coaching, I am often asked, "Why do I feel like I am always drowning in tasks, and how do I get out of it?" As a CEO and business owner, I have definitely felt these feelings and asked myself the same question.
The overwhelming feeling of drowning in tasks can often be debilitating and lead to decreased productivity, burnout, and even health problems. Running a business and a household can take its toll. As a mom with three kids all under the age of two, I continuously felt like I was drowning and overwhelmed with all the tasks that I felt needed to be completed. I knew I needed to make a change to get my head above water. I learned that having systems set in place made feeding time, nap time, and
self-care time feel a lot more manageable.
This applies to business as well!
Creating interconnected systems will help your business work with you instead of against you. Systems stop you from running around with no clear plan. They bring structure and streamline your workflow, giving you the ability to have a clearer view of each individual task that needs to be accomplished.
Knowing the benefits of systems is important, and each business will have its own individual systems specific to you and your business's needs.
